The history of the Brazilian carnival

History

Carnival has roots from the ancient Greek spring festival honoring Dionysus, the God of wine. The Romans adopted the festival, which later, of the Roman Catholic Church changed to suit her own religious needs. Brazilian Carnival is an annual festival celebrated for four days, preceding the Day of repentance. It has a religious flavor, as it marks the beginning days of fasting(participation in the hunger strike) ‘lent’. Carnival literally means to remove the meat, an important observance, which will be accompanied during lent, practicing repentance, to honor the death and resurrection of Christ. The Japanese Doll Festival

The third of March in Japan celebrates Hina Matsuri is a holiday that Russian call girls Holiday or Holiday dolls, and Japanese still Jesi-but sekku (the Celebration of the first day of the snake) or Momo-but sekku (peach blossom Festival).
