Easter festivals of Europe

This year’s theme is “Beethoven and the eternal feminine”. Spring music festival will be held in Prague from 19 to 30 April. All festival concerts will take place in the most famous music halls of the city: the Church of St. Simon and Jude, Hall of the municipal house, Smetana and dvořák Hall in the Rudolfinum. In addition to the mandatory Dvorak and Bach, Brahms, Wagner and Tchaikovsky, this year the program of jazz music performed by the Prague Jazz Quintet. Guest of the festival will be the Austrian pianist Paul Badura-Skoda, who will perform Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Frank Martin.

In Lucerne, Switzerland from 9th to 17th of April will be Easter arts festival, which will feature the Chamber orchestra of Europe under the baton of Bernard Haitink Symphony, the Bavarian radio Symphony orchestra under Mariss Jansons and the brilliant Japanese pianist Mitsuko ISIS.
